Dear Community, Dear Mods.
First, let me thank you all, that means, site owners, moderators, Song creators/uploaders and voters/people who comment on things, help with getting the right GAP, finetuning, video for the songs, and people that wish for good new songs.
Without you, I would not have nearly as much fun as I have at karaoke with my friends and loved ones.
But I would like you to be aware of some things I have in my mind. And considering the amount of text u will read here it might be look like I have too much time, but be certain I don't but its very important to me so I'm sacrificing my time for it.
1. Rapnotes are now supported AND accepted from this site, so feel free to edit your old txt files with freestyle rap OR SCREAMED parts that arent fun to "sing" or rap that way and edit them. You just need to change every "F" in the txt file to an "R" - it's simple as that.
Rapnotes ignore the pitch/tone height you are singing, they just give you points for when you spoke/rap/sung in the moment the artist does.
2. Dear Mods, I'd like to offer some Rapnote Edits as alternative Uploads since I can understand people that like it and people that DON't like it and rather have freestyle notes for rap parts because they only want to sing the sung parts of some certain songs e.g. Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. I want to let my friends choose what they prefer more just by having two versions of it (we could add in the title (with rap notes) for example, so you know which version you are opening in ultrastar for example.
- I'd still have an edited txt file of Electric Callboy - We got the moves with rap notes for every spoken or screamed part that I shared privately since it did not get accepted by the mods back then. Also, I got ignored on this topic so far over private messages so I am using this function to maybe get an answer or reach some people.
What bugs me most about this topic, that I never got an "rejected upload answer or any statement for it so far, while someone else's alternative version with freestyle notes got accepted somehow back then. It shouldnt be too hard to get at least an automated "the mods didnt accept your upload message because of reason xy" text or would it? or they would need to take the 20 seconds to write it as a dm...
I'd like to work with you all together on projects, but that needs a better way of communication than we have on this site right now!!!
For example I'm using this site for quite some time now but I just found out about a section called "songs in work/songs in arbeit" that really should be linked as stuff like "song calendar" on the left upper corner of the site, so people actually know that exists and can use it!
And then I read something about a discord here in the comments, and somebody even sent me an invitation link to it, but don't you want every song creator to know about it so they can work better together? you don't actively advertise for it, maybe you should change that but of course thats your choice, It all needs management.
3. topic is the wishlist.
It seems there are a lot of wishes still in it, that are uploaded already and the users dont have an option to delete old or false wishes (e.g. when making a double wish or a typo without noticing) themselves, so we HAVE to rely on the mods or the people that have this power to clean up the wishlist. Either the gods of this site could improve the system a bit, or maybe it would be agood thing to wipe every wishes that are older than for example 2020 or 2022?
You want song creators to look at this list and use it for considering what song to work on next. If it keeps being the way as it is, I don't think many creators will even have a look at it anymore, its way too big anyways.
Other things I don't like about it is that it doesnt self check if the wish already exists when trying to submit it and preventing you from submitting double wishes, AND that you have a whole day cooldown on a songwish... yeah maybe you could limit this to 20 in total per user at the same time but I don't want to set an alarm clock just to submit some songwishes...
I did not upload as many songs as other people did (at least yet) but it still would be nice if, wether you appreciated and used what I uploaded or not, you would use the search function STRG/CTRL + F and type in "LilPeep1337" to see what i wished for already since there are still hundreds of songs that I'd really like to have for my karaoke program to sing them with my friends and loved ones. I would really appreciate that.
I hope I won't get a shitstorm now, these are just my honest thoughts about this site. I see a lot more unused potential but I'm still happy that all of you put in so much work/effort to keep everything going and upload new songs, don't get me wrong please!

That's the meta tags that the USDB Syncer uses to download the correct files. But actually Melody Mania is able to use YouTube links instead of downloaded audio/video files.

Dank YouTube habe ich die Lösung gefunden. Im txt musste ich den Dateinamen der Audiodatei anpassen. Das steht in keiner der Anleitungen, die ich gefunden habe, auch wenn es Im Nachhinein betrachtet logisch ist.

Wir wollen heute Abend Karaoke machen. Dazu habe ich heute Nacht 2h lang Lieder nach Anleitung unserer Sammlung hinzugefügt. Wenn ich das Programm öffne, and die Songs aber nicht da. Woran kann es liegen?

Kann jemand mir bitte erklären wie man in der Jukebox eine Playliste erstellt.
Möchte gerne in der Jukebox Musik abspielen ohne Text, heißt ein Ordner mit Lieder die nicht in den Song Ordner drin ist. Geht sowas auch in den Playlisten Ordner irgendwie?
Auf eine rückinfo würde ich mich sehr freuen.

fepo Bohning hat ja auch letztens mal die Songs der Rolling Stones Top 500 Liste der besten Songs gegen unseren Bestand verglichen. Ich war ganz überrascht, dass "Lep Zeppelin - Kashmir" nicht in USDB ist. Ist zwar leicht jaulig, aber trotzdem ein Klassiker. Vielleicht wäre das was?

Hey Fepo, mir ist aufgefallen dass es zum Beispiel noch keinen einzigen Song der Hard Rock Band Audrey Horne gibt. Vielleicht wären die was für dich.
Oder auch Alter Bridge. Von denen gibt's auch noch nicht viel.
Die Bands sind zwar beides keine Klassiker, aber könnten dir gefallen.
Oder vielleicht willst du auch eher in die Deutschsprachige Ecke Richtung Krautrock gehen. Bin ohnehin überrascht, dass es hier noch immer kein einziges Lied von Ton Steine Scherben gibt.

kann mir jemand erklären warum ich, wenn ich nach Interpret sortiere bei A & B z.B. die Interpretern nicht anklicken kann aber bei C z.B. schon und die entsprechenden Lieder sehe?
