Globule Sebmolder I fully agree that #CREATOR should definitely be left as is when uploading other people’s txt here and I kindly ask Zevac to abide by this. We want this to be a positive community where credit is given where credit is due. We all know how much work it is to create a song.
We invite every song creator to upload their creations here!
bohning : in ultrastar-es, we have the obligation to write our user name in #CREATOR and complete every other # as well. Everything also get verified by the moderation before being posted on their site.
In these txts of all the 9 songs I did that Zevac posted, he deleted the #CREATOR and changed some other # fields without changing anything of the song itself (as golden notes for example).
Honestly, I wouldn't complain if he hadn't touched the #CREATOR field and keep my name on it, that's all Sebmolder and I were saying
@b4St1@fuN and fepo : okay I didn't know it works like that here, but I never said it was a problem. I was just confused and upset he deleted our creator names on all the txts, and that he said ultrastar-es is an "illegal website"...
edit: I just saw Zevac added our user names back on the txts files, everything's okay now, thank you for that !
We don't care who uploads TXT here. As far as we're concerned, it could also have been the Emperor of China. Such problems you have clarified via PM. I will delete further posts in the direction without being asked.
This should be give and take (as it has always been, in both directions). The song’s creator should take care to add their name to the #CREATOR tag, this way it is clear that the uploader is not the creator in case the creator does not upload themself here.
I understand that creating a song is quite a lot of work and I am all in favor of giving credit where credit is due - so please all song creators: add your name to #CREATOR if you care about the credit.
Globule, what's the problem to upload the txt to this community? I don't get it. Zevac never stated that he/she has created the txt... It is totally accepted to upload txts from other users who don't want to support this community.
I don't know what's more illegal between a website which we subscribed to post our works and someone who stole other's works from another website...
We're not the police so we can't blame you anything.
But at least, please credit our names and the website's name you took these songs, or post your own work just like we did
